Add or Drop Classes

  1. Go to BengalWeb
  2. Enter your Username
  3. Enter your Password 
  4. Click on Academic Tools (left)
  5. In the Registration Tools portlet
  6. Click Add or Drop Classes.

  1. Select a Term.
  2. Click Submit.
  3. The Add or Drop Classes screen opens.

Enter the CRNs of the classes you wish to take.

Click Class Search, and then follow instructions for Add by Searching the Class List.

Drop Classes
  •  If you are already registered for classes, you will see your Current Schedule at the top of the screen. Click the down arrow under Action next to the classes you want to drop. Select the option you want (i.e. Web Drop), scroll down, and click Submit Changes.

After you have finished registering, review your schedule to make sure you are registered for the correct classes.

  1. Click the My Concise Schedule link in the Registration Tools portlet to see your schedule. Check to make sure that your classes are on the right campus, there are no time conflicts, and none of the classes required an override before you could register.
  2. To see a more detailed schedule (including links to email instructors), click Student Detail Schedule at the bottom of the screen.
ISU Course Attendance Policy 

Students are responsible for their registration activity.  If a student is unable or unwilling to attend any or all classes for which they have registered, it is the student's responsibility to drop or withdraw from their coursework using their ISU BengalWeb account. 

Course instructors have the authority to drop registered students from courses during the first week of class for non-attendance.  

An instructor may also assign a student an "X" (failing grade for non-attendance) grade at mid-term or as a final grade if a student has not attended/participated in class or does not meet the attendance policy established in the course syllabus.
