Stay up to date with the latest features by updating your Zoom Client. 

This Guide Will Help You to:

  • Sign in to Zoom desktop client

  • Check for updates

  • Seek further assistance

Sign in to Zoom Desktop client

From your PC:

  1. Click the Windows icon in the taskbar. 

  2. In your apps list, scroll until you get to the Zoom folder.

  3. Click on the Zoom folder.

  4. Double click on Start Zoom, to launch the application. 

  5. Once you have launched the Zoom desktop client, click the “Sign in” button, then select the “SSO" option.

From your Mac:

  1. Find the Finder icon in your Dock.

  2. Right-click on the icon, then click New Finder Window.

  3. In the new window, click Applications. Find zoom.us in your apps list and double-click the icon to start the app.

  4. Once you have launched the Zoom desktop client, click the “Sign in” button, then select the “SSO" option.

Check for updates

  1. After signing in, click on your profile picture in the top right.

  2. Select “Check for updates”. 

  3. A pop-up window will appear stating “Update Available!”.

  4. Click the “Update” button.

  5. After the update has finished installing, the pop-up window will close and you’ll return to the home screen of the desktop client. 

Uninstall/Reinstall Zoom Desktop Client

If the version of the Zoom desktop client is too old, it may be prevented from updating to the newest version. Simply uninstall the application from the computer and go to Zoom.us/download to install the newest version.
