Zoom: Join from Browser

Participants who are unable to install Zoom can join a meeting or webinar using the Zoom web client on their desktop web browser. The Zoom web client offers limited functionality.

Description

Zoom provides various platforms to join and participate in a meeting. While the Zoom Desktop Client is the preferred method for launching a Zoom meeting there are other options available if you have technical issues. The Zoom web client allows you to launch a zoom meeting from the browser with limited capabilities.

Join from your browser

  1. Click the link to join the meeting.
  2. If prompted to open the Zoom desktop client, click Cancel.
  3. Click Launch Meeting.
  4. When prompted again to open the Zoom desktop client, click Cancel.
  5. A statement will appear, "having issues with the Zoom Client? Join from your browser"
  6. Click the Join from your Browser link.
  7. If prompted, sign in to your Zoom account. If you do not have a Zoom account, create a new account. 
  8. You will be prompted to enter your name and the meeting password if it was not included in the join link.
  9. Click Join.
