Activities and resources can be indented in Moodle to help organize and style your course. By default, this option is turned off in Moodle ISU, but you can enable it in your course using the course settings.

This Guide Will Help You to:

  • Enable indenting

  • Indent activities or resources

  • Seek further assistance

Enable indenting

  1. In the Course Navigation menu, select Settings.

  1. Scroll down to the Course format section, and select the carrot icon (>) to expand the section.

  1. In the Activity indentation drop-down menu, select On.

  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Save and display.

Indent activities or resources

  1. Toggle editing on.

  2. Locate the activity or resource you want to indent.

  3. To the right of the activity, select the options icon (three dots) to open the drop-down menu.

  1. Select Move right to indent the activity.

  2. If the activity is already indented, select Move left to remove the indentation, or Move right to move it further right.
