This article provides instructions on how to prepare your Moodle ISU courses before importing into ISU Canvas at Idaho State University (ISU).

Preparing Your Courses for ISU Canvas

  1. Create a copy of the Packing Up Your Moodle ISU Course Checklist (external link) for each of your courses to track your progress. Selecting the link will enable you to make a copy of the checklist in your Google Drive.
  2. You may want to Request a Moodle ISU TEMP course (external link) to use for creating a clean version of your course to import.
  3. Review the following:

Learning and Support

  1. Visit the ITRC's ISU Canvas Resources website (external link) for Canvas support materials and guides.
  2. Request course-specific Canvas sandbox courses (external link) if you would like a space to develop and test content before importing it into an active course.
  3. Complete the ISU Canvas Faculty Essentials (external link), a online self-paced training course. Once enrolled, the course will remain available from your Canvas Dashboard for future reference.
