The Zoom Office is an alternative solution for distance education spaces. The room leverages the Zoom Workplace app and hardware geared to engaging with students synchronously online.
Hardware:
- 75in Display
- 24in Interactive Display w/ stylus
- Docking station with USB C connectivity
- Webcam
- Microphone
Setup Display Orientation:

Plug the USB C cable into the laptop (note you can leave the laptop collapsed, use the interactive display and wireless keyboard/mouse to interface with the laptop).
- Open "Display Settings" to modify the desired orientation:
- Select "Apply" to save changes.
Setup Zoom Workplace app
- Open the Zoom Workplace app and log into your account
- Select the "Gear" icon, to open the settings menu
- Under "General", enable "Use dual monitors"
- Under "Video", locate the option "Maximum participants displayed per screen in gallery view" and select "49 participants".
- Close the Settings windows.
Join Zoom Meeting
- In the Zoom Workplace app, select Join Meeting and input the meeting details.
- Select join with computer audio.
- There will be two Zoom windows:
- Move the Zoom Window with the Zoom tools bar to the TV display and put it into full-screen mode. (all meeting participants will be shown on this display)
- Keep the other Zoom Window on the Interactive display and put it into full-screen mode. (Shared content will be shown on this display)
Interactive Display
The interactive display has "Touch" capabilities and companions with a stylus. Use Zoom's annotation tools to mark up a digital whiteboard or annotate shared content.
