Replacing a Moodle ISU Lesson in ISU Canvas
Summary
Options available in Canvas for replacing the Moodle Lesson Activity.
Body
Description
This article provides instructions on options for replacing a Moodle ISU Lesson in ISU Canvas at Idaho State University (ISU). The Moodle Lesson Activity allows instructors to create 'branching' exercises where students are presented with content and then, depending on their responses, are directed to specific pages within the lesson content. Moodle Lesson Activities will not import into ISU Canvas. The option for replacing a Moodle Lesson Activity will depend on your original purpose for the activity.
Using DesignPlus
DesignPlus can be used in ISU Canvas to design an interactive lesson activity. For assistance, contact the ITRC.

Using PowerPoint or Google Slides
If a Moodle Lesson was being used to organize course information and/or resources, PowerPoint or Google Slides can be created as a replacement. You can then upload the slides as a file directly into the course, or link it from Google Drive or Box.
Using a Quiz to Test Comprehension
If you were using a Moodle lesson to deliver course information and then conduct a knowledge check, an ISU Canvas quiz can be used as an alternative.
Using MasteryPaths
MasteryPaths in ISU Canvas can be used to customize learning experiences for students based on performance. You can enable MasteryPaths to automatically assign coursework based on the score achieved for a previous assignment or activity. Contact the ITRC for assistance with setting up MasteryPaths.
