This article provides instructions on how to request a Sandbox Course in ISU Canvas at Idaho State University (ISU).
A Canvas ISU Sandbox Course is a blank course shell for faculty to develop and prepare course content before delivery. Once the official semester course is available, you can copy your materials into it.
Requesting a Sandbox Course in ISU Canvas
- Complete the Canvas: Sandbox Request Form (external link).
- There are two options under "Which type of Sandbox are you requesting?"
- Select Initial Learning Sandbox if you want a place to experiment or develop a future course.
- Select Course Specific Sandbox if you want to prepare a course for delivery in an upcoming semester.
- Select Course Specific Sandbox.
- Click Next.
- Additional questions will open to enter your course prefix, course number, and title, and to indicate which semester your course will be taught in.
- You will be notified via a TigerTracks email when your sandbox course is created and available for use.
