Description
As an instructor, you can create, edit, and delete rubrics in your ISU Canvas course. Rubrics are used as grading criteria for students and can be added to assignments, quizzes, and graded discussions.
Rubrics and Grading Guides in Moodle ISU do not import directly into Canvas. Functionally, Rubrics in ISU Canvas are very similar to Rubrics in Moodle ISU. The interface to enter and update rubric criteria will be similar. One of the powerful tools in Canvas is the combination of Rubrics and Outcomes to track student progress throughout a program or course.
Instructions
The best option to migrate rubrics from Moodle ISU to ISU Canvas is to copy and paste the criteria and details cell-by-cell from a document or from Moodle.
- Open the rubric in your Moodle ISU course, or in a document.
- Add a rubric in your ISU Canvas course, by following the instructions in How do I add a rubric in a course?
- Copy the criteria and the descriptions into the ISU Canvas interface.
