Description
Step-by-step instructions for sharing content from a laptop or Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) to a Zoom Room classroom system, either via a wired connection or over Zoom.
Note: Laptop/BYOD HDMI options are in the following rooms: FH 214, LA 325, LA 328, and FA 401; however, the two wireless options below are available in every Zoom Room.
Details
Using the BYOD HDMI Cable
- In the Extron controls (on a separate Extron touch panel or Room Controls page on the Zoom Controller), tap on Laptop.
- On the Zoom Controller, tap the blue or green Share button.
Using the Zoom Client App
- If a wired connection is currently sharing (either in Viewing Locally or Sharing to Meeting modes), tap the red Stop Sharing button on the Zoom Controller.
- On the Zoom Controller, tap the blue or green Share button.
- On your laptop (or other device), open the Zoom Client application.
- Sign-in to your ISU Zoom account, if needed.
- On the Home screen in the Zoom Client app, tap the blue Share screen button.
- If needed, enter the Room code (displayed on the Zoom Controller and on the room displays when the Share window is up).
Using a Web Browser
- If a wired connection is currently sharing (either in Viewing Locally or Sharing to Meeting modes), tap the red Stop Sharing button on the Zoom Controller.
- On the Zoom Controller, tap the blue or green Share button.
- On your laptop (or other device), open a web browser and navigate to share.zoom.us.
- Enter the Meeting ID and Passcode (displayed on the Zoom Controller and on the room displays when the Share window is up).
