A few classrooms in the Liberal Arts building utilize Macs for the instructor computer.
Details
Power On the Mac Computer
- Locate the Mac mini desktop on the instructor podium.
- Press the Power button to turn on the Mac.
- On the Mac mini (M4) in LA 326, this power button is located just underneath the back, right-hand corner of the desktop.
- On the Mac minis in LA 329 and LA 339, the power button is located on the back, right-hand corner of the desktop (next to the power plug).
Sign in to the Mac
- On the log-in screen, in the lower center of the screen, click on the Instructor account.
- If another account is shown, hover the cursor over that account picture until more accounts are shown, then click on the Instructor account.
- If more accounts do not show up:
- Click into the password field for the account that does show.
- Simultaneously press both the Option and Enter keys on the keyboard.
- In the 'Name' field, enter 'Instructor'.
- Proceed to the next step.
- Position the cursor in the password field, then press Enter on the keyboard.
Log Out of the Mac
- If any web browsers were used to sign in to ISU resources, be sure to log out of each session.
- To log out of the Instructor account:
- Click on the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the screen to open the Apple Menu.
- Click Log Out Instructor from the bottom of the Apple Menu.
- Alternatively, simultaneously press the shift, command, and Q keys on the keyboard.
