Grading Assignments [Faculty]

Summary

Moodle ISU offers faculty multiple ways to effectively grade assignments. Two common ways are to grade is through the assignment activities grading area.

Description

Instructors can easily grade assignments submitted by students. This document will demonstrate two ways in which assignments can be graded. 

This Guide Will Help You to:

Grade assignments in Moodle ISU

  1. Select the assignment you wish to grade

  2. On the Assignment summary page, click View all submissions

  1. Select a student to grade and select the Grade button

  2. On the Grader view page, you can view, download, annotate, and grade the student's submissions

  1. Once grading is completed, you can select: 

    1. Save changes to save the grade and feedback information

    2. Save and show next to save the grade and feedback information and grade the next student’s assignment

Grade assignments using Quick Grade

Quick Grade lets instructors assign grades and provide assignment feedback from the Assignment Submission page.

  1. Select the assignment you wish to grade

  2. On the Assignment summary page, click View all submissions

  3. Under Options, select Quick Grade

  1. This will enable instructors to input grades and feedback from the Assignment Submission page

  1. Once grading is completed, select the Save all quick grade changes button
