  • Seek further assistance

Cloud Recording

When you record a meeting and choose Record to the Cloud, the video, audio, and chat text is recorded in the Zoom cloud. Hosts have the ability to trim the video. Both host and viewer can change playback speed, turn on closed captions, and search the generated transcript.

Live Transcript (Closed Caption)

During the meeting, the Host can enable Auto-Transcription, which will generate captions as users speak. Based on their preference, participants can turn captioning on.

Automatic Transcription

After the meeting and the cloud, recording are processed, a transcript will be generated. Viewers of the recording can search the transcript for specific words or phrases and then start the video from that point.

Detailed Reporting

Reports will now include all participants’ information. The host will be able to review attendance, registration, and polling information.

Expanded Chat Options

Hosts are now able to save chats manually to their local computer without requiring local recording. With the Zoom cloud, hosts also have the option to save chat transcripts when they choose to record to the cloud.

Zoom Activity in Moodle ISU

The current Zoom activity in Moodle ISU now includes the above features. Cloud Recordings will populate the Cloud Recording tab for meetings associated with the Moodle ISU Zoom activity.

When meetings move from the Upcoming Meetings tab to the Previous Meetings tab, instructors can review a report. The report includes the participant’s name, email, join time, leave time, and duration in minutes.

If polls are used, instructors can review the poll report that includes the participant’s name, email, question, and answer. Both reports can be exported as a CSV file.

Note: If the meeting uses the recurrence of “No fixed time”, the meeting technically never moves to the Previous Meeting tab and the reports won't be available in the Zoom activity but can still be accessed on Zoom.us.
