This article provides instructions on how to forward your emails from your ISU account to another at Idaho State University (ISU).
• Note: All official ISU communication is sent to your ISU email account. Be sure to check it regularly, or set up forwarding so messages are delivered to your personal email.
Set Up Email Forwarding
- Go to your ISU Email (external link) and sign in with your ISU Username and Password.
- Select Settings (gear icon), then select See all settings.
- In the header bar under Settings, go to Forwarding and then the POP/IMAP tab.
- Under forwarding, select Add a forwarding address.
- Enter the email address you want messages forwarded to.
- Select Next, then Proceed.
- Select the drop-down for Forward a copy of incoming mail to select the email address you would like to forward your email to.
- Select the drop-down for how you would like your e-mail stored when forwarded and choose an option:
- keep
- mark as read
- archive
- delete
- Scroll and Select Save Changes.
Confirming Forwarded ISU Email
Gmail will send a confirmation email to the address you entered.
- Open the confirmation email you received and follow the instructions to verify your forwarding email address.
- Go back into the Gmail settings Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
- Turn forwarding on by selecting the radio button next to Forward a copy of incoming mail.
- Then, choose your email address from the drop-down list.
- Select Save Changes at the bottom to complete the mail forwarding setup.
