Obtaining a License for QuickBooks

QuickBooks, offered by Intuit, provides free access to its desktop and online versions for students and professors at educational institutions. This guide explains how to obtain a QuickBooks license.

1. Go to the registration page here and click "Register for Free QuickBooks Online."
2. Complete the verification form by entering your Personal Information. Then provide details about your school.
3. Click "Verify and Continue."
4. Provide documentation to verify your name and school affiliation. 
5. Click "Choose File" to upload your document, then click "Submit for Review."
   1. Note: The free licenses will be sent to Educators and Students once their registration with Intuit is verified.
6. QuickBooks will confirm your submission. Intuit will review your information and may email you for additional details if needed. Once verified, you’ll receive a Welcome Email.
7. Sign up for your free QuickBooks Online Accountant account by entering the required information.
8. Click "Continue."
9. Enter your firm information. Since you are representing an educational institution and not a traditional accounting firm, you can enter your school name or other relevant details. Click "Continue."
10. The QuickBooks Online Accountant dashboard will now be displayed. You’re ready to go!​​​​​​​
