Configure Security Settings on User Account

Changing settings at the user account level will impact future meetings.

Youtube Video

  1. Access your account settings on isu.zoom.us/profile/setting.

  2. Configure your desired security settings.

    • Waiting Room - When participants join a meeting, place them in a waiting room and require the host to admit them individually. Enabling the waiting room automatically disables the setting for allowing participants to join before the host.

    • Require Passcode - A passcode will be generated when scheduling a meeting and participants require the passcode to join the meeting.

    • Authenticated users - The participants need to authenticate prior to joining the meetings, hosts can choose one of the authentication methods when scheduling a meeting.

Configure Security Settings When Scheduling a Meeting

Changing settings at the meeting level will only impact that meeting.

  1. Access your account on isu.zoom.us/meeting.

  2. Either schedule a new meeting or edit an existing meeting.

  3. Configure your desired security settings.

    • Passcode - Only users who have the invite link or passcode can join the meeting.

    • Waiting Room - Only users admitted by the host can join the meeting

    • Authenticated users - Only users who have sign-ed into the desktop client can access the meeting.
