Zoom: Privacy Settings

Description

We will discuss the essential settings that provide you the discretion of what sources you choose to make available to other participants in a zoom meeting ie:  your web camera, microphone, and application sharing.

This Guide Will Help You to:

  • Configure your privacy settings

Configure your Privacy Settings

  1. Launch your Zoom desktop application.

  2. Click the “Sign-in” button, use the sign-in with Google option.

  3. In the Home tab, In the top-right corner click the settings icon.

  4. Click the “Video” tab:

    • Enable - Turn off my video when joining a meeting.

    • Enable - Always show video preview dialog when joining a video meeting.

  5. Click the “Audio” tab:

    • Disable - Automatically join audio by computer when joining a meeting.

    • Enable - Mute my microphone when joining a meeting.

  6. Click the “Share Screen” tab:

    • Disable - “Enable the remote control of all applications”
