ProctorFree: Control Panel

Description

The Record and Review service will record the participant’s quiz attempt and review the recording for evidence of cheating. Learn how to setup Moodle quizzes and sync them with the Record and Review service. Idaho State University contracts a company called ProctorFree, for Record and Review proctoring services.

Setup Moodle quiz for ProctorFree

To enable Record and Review, The quiz that desires proctoring needs the open and end date enabled and utilize a password.

  1. Toggle edit mode on.

  2. Locate the proctored quiz.

  3. Select the Settings tab.

  4. Find the Timing section

  5. Enable Start date and Enter the Open date.

  6. Enable End date and Enter the Close date.

  7. Find the Extra restrictions on attempts section

  8. In the Require password field, type your chosen password.

  9. Find the Common module settings section.

  10. Change availability to Make available but not shown on course page.

  11. Click Save and Return to Course.

Sync moodle quiz with record and review service

The following steps will help you sync your Moodle quiz with the Record and Review service:

  1. On the course homepage, click Proctorfree: Faculty Control Panel.

  2. Under the Title section, Locate the Proctored quiz

  3. Under the Proctoring Options section, choose one of three options

    1. Full Proctoring - quiz attempts will be recorded and reviewed by ProctorFree.

    2. Practice - quiz attempts will be recorded but not reviewed by ProctorFree.

    3. No Proctoring - quiz attempts will not sync with ProctorFree

  4. Under Secure Browser, check the box to enable, the following options will appear:

    • Disable Navigation - Removes the ability to open tabs or type in the address bar. 

    • Disable Print Screen - Removes the ability to print screen

    • Display Copy & Paste - Removes the ability to use the clipboard

    • Force Full Screen Browser - Removes the ability to use task bar or other programs

  5. Click Sync with ProctorFree
