IT Project Request Quick Guide, FY 2024

--The following instructions are for IT project proposals only--
Internally (ISU) funded requests for ITS projects are being accepted for Fiscal Year 2024, which begins July 1, 2023. The deadline is October 7, 2022.
  1. Click on this link: FY2024 Project Requests
  2. Sign In with your regular username and password. The open page contains information about the Project Prioritization process, including project definitions and timelines.
  3. Click on Submit IT Project Request (upper right, orange button).
  4. Fill out the form (selecting from drop lists and entering content in the text boxes), working your way down the page. Items marked with a red asterisk are required.  Be sure to thoroughly justify each scoring criteria to improve your project’s selection chances.
  5. When you reach the bottom of the form, scroll back to the top and click Save (black button, left).
  6. The screen will display Request Created Successfully; however, the process isn’t COMPLETE until you do these final steps. Click on Review and submit this request
  7. Click the black button labeled Mark Complete and Submit.
  8. An Incomplete Sections window opens. Click Mark Complete and Submit.  (Note: the items listed in this window refer to the internal evaluation the IT department will do on your project proposal. These are not things you need to complete.)
  9. A Request Submitted Successfully message appears.  From here on, you can view the request but no longer make changes to it as you have completed the submission process.
  10. To print a copy of your submission, click View the request you just submitted, then click the black Print button at the top of your project.
Special Notes:
Submitting Acct/Dept/Organization:  Although this defaults to your department, it can be changed to another. Delete the default department and type in your department name, or use the magnifying glass button (right) to look up other departments.
Project Sponsor: defaults to your name. To enter another name, delete yours and type in the other person's name, or use the magnifying glass button (right) to search.
Justification: after you select a score for each section, be sure to fill in the Justification text box with specific details to back up the score you selected. Those who select projects rely heavily on these justifications to make their decisions.
