Uninstall Current version of EMS

1. Open Windows Settings
2. Click on Apps
3. Find EMS Desktop Client in the list of applications
4. Click icon an Uninstall
Install EMS with updated version

1. Open a web browser and navigate to
https://reservations.isu.edu/EMSDesktopWebDeploy/
2. Click on the
Download and Install the EMS Desktop Client
3. This will download two files. You will have to tell it to keep
emswebdeployconfiguration. - Note: if you have any previously downloaded configuration files in the same folder
(such as Downloads) it may interfere with the installation. Delete any previously downloaded configuration files before
installing.
4. After they finish downloading, open the
EMSApplication.exe file and wait for the installation to finish.
5. Once complete the EMS client will launch and you can log in.
App password setup ( For email notifications in EMS )

Google is in the process of removing “Less Secure Apps”, so we will now need to use App Passwords. This requires two factor authentication.
1.Log into the Google account you want to send emails from in EMS ( This could be a department email )
2. Click on the Idaho State University button in the top right where your account profile picture is.
3. Click on Manage your Google account
4. Click on Security on the left-hand side
5. Under the How you sign in to Google section, click on 2-Step Verification. ( Google might prompt you to log in again )
6. Review the Second steps section and add any additional sign-in options that you would like (you must have at least one option selected)
7. Click on the Turn on 2-Step Verification button
8. Click on Done
9. Click the arrow to go back
10. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords
11. Enter a name for the new App Password (something like “EMS”); then click Create
12. Copy this new App Password ( Keep this password in a safe and secure location, once you click of this screen there is no way to retrieve that password, You will need to create a new one )
13. Open EMS; go to Settings and then Preferences
14. Enter your email address and paste the App Password into the password field; then click OK
15. Test connection
