Most classrooms have either a desktop tower or an all-in-one for the instructor to use; however, it's not always obvious which type of computer is installed. A quick way of identifying the computer type is to look at the monitor:
- If the monitor is thicker than most and has the Ethernet cable as well as the keyboard and mouse connected directly to it, your classroom has an all-in-one computer.
- The power button is most likely on the bottom-right edge of the monitor, or on the bottom edge of the right-hand side of the monitor.
- If the monitor does not have an Ethernet cable plugged into it, your classroom has a desktop tower. Follow the display and/or keyboard and mouse cables to locate the tower, most likely beneath the podium.
- The power button should be on the face of the tower, above the USB ports.
Press the power button once to power up the computer.
