Description
Step-by-step instructions and information on changing the camera modes and presets in Zoom Room classrooms.
Details
To Change the Camera's Mode:
- With a Zoom Meeting going, on the Zoom Controller, tap Camera Control.
- Under Camera Control at the top of the pop-up window, note the camera for which you are seeing the settings for (Instructor or Student).
- If you need to switch between changing settings on the Instructor and Student cameras, tap the drop-down, then select the camera you would like to change settings on.
- Next to Camera Mode, use the drop-down menu to change between the camera modes.
Camera modes available:
- Manual: Lets you control the fixed view of the camera, with some preset buttons available.
- Note: As you face the classroom, the left and right arrows will move the camera view to your left or right (opposite of the direction you would think if you are looking at the camera view or the front of the classroom).
- Note: When Manual mode is selected, there are three preset buttons available. These classrooms (listed under the title of this article) have the following presets set for the instructor camera:
- Podium: A close-up view of the area just above the podium, to capture any persons standing at the podium.
- Board: Captures the classroom whiteboard.
- Sometimes the 2nd and 3rd preset buttons are set up to capture two views of the classroom whiteboard, to get a closer view.
- Speaker focus: The camera will automatically focus on the in-room active speaker.
- Default mode for the Instructor camera.
- Auto-Framing: The camera will automatically frame the in-room participants as a group in one stream.
- Default mode for the Student camera.
- Multi-Focus: The camera will automatically frame the in-room participants as individuals in one stream (boxing each participant identified and cutting out empty space).
Note: For the instructor camera in these classrooms (the rooms listed under the title of this article), an exclusion zone is set up over the student section to prevent the automatic modes (Speaker focus, Auto-Framing, and Multi-Focus) from including persons in the student (seated) area.
