Reset Your Password or Recover Your Username

Need help accessing your ISU account?

This article provides information about resetting your password and recovering your username at Idaho State University (ISU).

1. Go to the Password Reset Portal.
2. Select Next
3. Enter your ISU Username.
   • Note: If you don't know your username please visit the Forgot Your Username section.
4. Select Submit.
5. Verify your Identity:
   • Send a PIN to your account claim email.  
   • Send a PIN to your phone number on file.
6. Enter the PIN and select Verify.
7. Create a password that meets all specified password requirements.
8. Select Reset Password.

1. Go to the Forgot Username Portal.
2. Select Next.
3. Locate Your Identity:
   • Enter your First Name.
   • Enter your Last Name.
   • Enter your Date of Birth. (MM/dd/yyyy)
   • Enter your Account Claim Email.
4. Select Submit.
5. Verify your Identity:
   • Send a PIN to your account claim email.  
   • Send a PIN to your phone number on file.
6. Enter the PIN and select Verify.
7. The screen will populate your Username. 
8. Select Complete to navigate to the ISU Secure Sign-On page. 
9. Enter your Username.
10. Enter your Password.
    • ​​​​​​​Note: If you don't know your password, select Forgot Password.​​​​​​​
11. Select Sign in.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
