Access Your ISU Email

This article provides instructions on how to access your ISU email using a web browser or an iOS or Android device at Idaho State University (ISU).

• Note:  All ISU students and employees are assigned an ISU email address in the format username@isu.edu. Your ISU email address is the primary method of communication. Check your email regularly for important information.

1. Go to ISU Gmail.
2. Enter your ISU Email address.
3. Select Next.
4. Enter your ISU Password.
5. Select Next.
   • Note: For security purposes, you may be prompted to complete Google’s two-step verification to confirm your identity.

Before you begin, install any Google apps you plan to use with your ISU account, such as Gmail or Google Drive.

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Mail.
3. Select Mail Accounts.
4. Select Add Account.
5. Select Google.
6. Enter your ISU email address.
7. Select Next.
8. Enter your ISU Password.
9. Select Next.
10. Select the Google services you want to sync with your device.
11. Select Save.

Note: You may be prompted to complete Google's two-step verification during sign-in.

1. Open the App Drawer.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Accounts and backup.
   • Note: The name of this option may vary by device. It may be listed as Accounts. 
4. Select Manage accounts.
5. Select Add account.
6. Select Google.
7. Verify your identity if prompted.
8. Enter your ISU email address.
9. Select Next.
10. Enter your ISU Password.
11. Select Next.
12. Review the Terms of Service.
13. Select Agree.
14. Select Finish.

Note: You may be prompted to complete Google's two-step verification during sign-in.

• Verify that you entered your ISU email address and password correctly.
• Complete any required two-step verification prompts.
