Congratulations! You have successfully claimed your Idaho State University (ISU) account.

Follow the steps below to confirm access to your account, set up required services, and connect to ISU systems such as Single Sign-On (SSO), MyISU, and Canvas

IMPORTANT: If you have not already done so, set up Duo Security to help protect your account.

Step 1: Confirm Access to Your ISU Email

Your ISU email is the official way ISU communicates with you.

 

Check your email regularly for: 

  • Class updates, deadlines, billing notices, and campus alerts.
  • Access to systems such as MyISU, Canvas, and TigerTracks.
  • Messages from instructors, advisors, and campus offices.

IMPORTANT: Missing email updates may result in missing important class or account information.

Step 2: Log Into MyISU to View Important Information

  1. Visit the MyISU Portal (external link) and log in with your ISU username and password.
  2. Select the Sign in button to access your account. 

After logging in, you can access the following areas and more: 

Academics

  • View your class schedule.
  • Meet with your academic advisor.
  • Register for classes or make schedule changes.

Finance

  • Pay tuition and fees.
  • View and accept financial aid.
  • Apply for student employment opportunities.
  • Search for scholarships.

Campus Life

  • View campus events and activities.
  • Check campus shuttle or bus schedules.
  • Access campus maps.
  • Find printing locations.

Step 3: Connect Your Device(s) to Campus WiFi TigerNet

TigerNet is Idaho State University’s secure wireless network for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Important: Access to TigerNet will not be available after you register for classes.

Steps to Connect to TigerNet

  1. Turn on WiFi on your device.
  2. From the list of available networks, select TigerNet.
  3. Open your web browser. You will be redirected to the ISU login page.
  4. Enter your ISU username and password.
  5. Select Sign In to connect.
  6. Once logged in, your device should automatically connect to TigerNet when in range.
