Installing JMP for Windows

Resolution
Note: If you have JMP already installed on your machine, you will need to uninstall it before installing the new version!
How to install JMP 17 for Windows
  1. Go to the JMP 17 folder in BOX (no account needed).
  2. Right click "JMP 17 - Windows.zip" folder.
  3. Click Download to download all files to the computer
  4. Wait for it to download
    • Note: This can take a while.
  5. After the file finishes downloading, open it.
  6. Click on the Extract all button on the File Explorer ribbon at the top
  7. A new window will open. Click on Extract in the bottom right
    • Note: This can take a while.
  8. Click JMP 17 - Windows
  9. Click JMP
  10. Click JMP
  11. Click 17_0
  12. Click Windows
  13. Run jmp_1700_win.exe (It should be an "Application" file type)
  14. Follow The install wizard
  15. Click Yes when asked, "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?"
  16. Click Next on the new window that pops up
  17. Click Next on choose to install location
  18. Click Next on Installation Options
  19. Click Install
  20. Wait for JMP to install
  21. Click Finish when done
  22. Check to Create a desktop shortcut
  23. Click Finish
  24. Run JMP to ensure it works correctly
Note: The first time this happens, a pop-up may appear that asks to register the software. This is not needed, so select  “wait to register". This pop-up should then no longer appear.
