Description

We will discuss how to join an instant meeting through Zoom.us, email invite, and Moodle ISU. You can also join a test meeting to familiarize yourself with Zoom.

Join a meeting

  1. You will need a Meeting ID from the host in order to join.

Note: Meeting ID is 10-11 digits in this format: 123 4567 8901.  The Meeting ID can also look like a website URL: "https://isu.zoom.us/j/1234567890". If the meeting has a passcode it will include a "pwd=..." in the URL this will create a one-button join so that the passcode does not need to be re-entered at the time of joining the Zoom meeting) it is in this format: "https://isu.zoom.us/j/1234567890?pwd=ABCdefjHiJkLMNOpqrStTUvwxyZ"

  1. With a meeting ID you can join from the following platforms:

    • isu.zoom.us

    • Email or Calendar invite (with the Meeting URL)

    • Learning Management System (LMS) via the Zoom Activity

    • Zoom Workplace App
