Password Help and Reset

Resolution
To enhance security, all ISU Faculty, Staff, and Students must change their ISU password every 180 days. You may change your password as often as you would like.
 
Forgot Username
  1. Go to MyISU, or another ISU site that uses single sign-on, such as Moodle or Box.
  2. Click Forgotten or Expired Password 
  3. Click Forgot your Identifier(s)? (bottom left)
  4. Type your First Name
  5. Type your Last Name
  6. Enter your Date of Birth (Format: mm/dd/yyyy)
  7. Type your Account Claim Email (Note: This is the personal email address we have on file for you.)
  8. Check the Captcha box stating you are not a robot​​​​​
  9. Click RETRIEVE USER ID
Note: Your Username is sent to your Account Claim Email address. If you receive an error, please contact the IT Service Desk for support. 
 
Receive an SMS (Text Message) PIN to Reset your Password
  1. Go to MyISU, or another ISU site that uses single sign-on, such as Moodle or Box.
  2. Click Forgotten or Expired Password       
  3. Enter your ISU Username
  4. Check the Captcha box stating you are not a robot
  5. Click SUBMIT
  6. Select the location you want the PIN to be sent:
    1. By authenticating via a pin sent to your mobile device
    2. By authenticating via a pin sent to your email (Note: This is the personal email address we have on file for you.)
  7. Click Next
  8. Select CLOSE on the Attention popup.
  9. Type the PIN you received 
  10. Click VALIDATE 
  11. Type your New Password
  12. Re-Type your New Password
  13. Click RESET PASSWORD

Use Duo to Reset your Password
  1. Go to MyISU, or another ISU site that uses single sign-on, such as Moodle or Box.
  2. Click Forgotten or Expired Password 
  3. Type your ISU Username     
  4. Check the Captcha box stating you are not a robot
  5. Click SUBMIT
  6. Select By authenticating on my mobile device using Duo
  7. Click NEXT
  8. Click Send Me a Push
  9. Approve the push notification that is sent to your mobile device.
  10. Type your New Password
  11. Re-Type your New Password
  12. Click SUBMIT
