Description
How to map a drive or fileshare on an ISU computer
Instructions
For Windows:
Select
File Explorer
from the toolbar
Right-click on
My Computer
or
This PC
.
Select
Map network drive..
.
In the box labeled
Folder,
type the location of the network share. Example:
\\[
drivename
].isu.edu\[
share_folder_name
].
The format is:
"\\server-address\name-of-folder-on-the-share".
Note:
Click
Reconnect at logon
if you want the network drive mapped each time you log onto this computer.
Click
Finish
.
Type
username
Type
password
Click
OK
Note:
For some mappings, you must type
"isu\[
username
]"
and the
password
.
For Macs:
Select the
Finder
(located on the dock at bottom of the screen).
Click
Go
on the
Finder
bar
Select
Connect to Server
from the menu
Type: (example)
smb://[
drivename
].isu.edu\[
share_folder_name
] f
or
server name
Click
Connect
Type
username
Type
password
These should be your regular LDAP credentials.
Select the
plus
sign if you want to save the address in your favorites
