 Google Workspace Includes the following products and more:
  • Gmail 
  • Meet
  • Chat
  • Calendar
  • Drive
  • Docs
  • Sheets
  • Slides
  • Forms
  • Sites
Google Drive
  • Can be used to store confidential information owned or used by ISU, including data covered by FERPA
  • Can store files of up to 5 Terabytes (TB) in size
For Faculty and Staff:
  • Use Box (Not Google Drive) to store data and information governed by HIPAA (i.e., protected health information) and other personally identifiable information such as SSNs, driver's license numbers, and financial account numbers.
  • If you have export-controlled data you wish to store and/or share, contact the ISU Export Control Officer at orexpctr@isu.edu to see if your specific data can be stored in Google.
