Details
The Library annually leases, or purchases outright, a great deal of licensed digital material that can be legitimately used by the ISU community in an ISU classroom environment. These resources can function properly within Canvas. Digital resources that are openly licensed are another legitimate option for use within a classroom environment.
The use of material that has been digitized independently outside of a signed licensing agreement and/or outside of the bounds of copyright law is not considered to be fair use, even though it may be intended for use in a classroom environment. This is the case regardless of course delivery format.
