Changing your Legal Sex

This article provides instructions on how to request a change to the legal sex listed in Banner at Idaho State University (ISU).at Idaho State University (ISU).

Change Request Process

Students

Students may request a change to the legal sex listed in Banner by emailing the ISU Registrar's Office at: reginfo@isu.edu.
  • In the request, specify the legal sex to be listed as:
    • Male
    • Female
    • Blank

Note: Legal documentation is not required to request this change. The name and identifying information provided must match the student's ISU ID.

Faculty, Staff and Student Employees

All employees, must request this change in person through Human Resources (HR) due to security requirements.
  • The legal sex may be listed as:
    • Male
    • Female
    • Blank
Note: Legal documentation is not required to request this change. The name and identifying information provided must match the employee's ISU ID.
