Idaho State University offers Zoom Licensed and Basic user accounts to faculty, staff and students.
NOTE: Faculty / Staff are eligible for a Licensed user type. Student accounts are created with a Basic user type.
This Guide Will Help You to:
Activate your Zoom Account
In order to use your ISU Zoom account, you need to create and activate your account at the same time by using the University's single sign-on (SSO) system. You can use either ISU's Zoom sign in page or Zoom's own sign in page to use the single sign-on.
ISU's Zoom Sign-in Page
-
Go to ISU’s Zoom sign-in page [isu.zoom.us]
-
Select Sign in.
-
Enter the same Username and Password you use to log in to MyISU.
Zoom’s Sign-in Page
-
Go to Zoom’s Sign-in Page [zoom.us].
-
Select Sign in, on the top right.
-
Select SSO.
-
Enter ISU as the domain.
-
Enter the same Username and Password you use to log in to MyISU.
Faculty, Staff, and Students can use this “sign-in” method to automatically create their ISU Zoom account. Faculty and Staff will be automatically assigned an ISU Licensed Zoom account when they use the SSO option.
In addition to SSO, users in a Moodle Course with the "Teacher" or "Unlisted Teacher" role will be upgraded to a Licensed Zoom account.
Students needing a Temporary ISU Zoom License for Academic Use
Students needing a Temporary ISU Zoom License for Academic use can self-enroll in this Moodle ISU course: Temporary ISU Zoom Licensed Account.
-
The Zoom license is enabled for 1 full year until the end of that future semester. For example, if the license is enabled Fall 2022 mid-semester, the license is disabled at the end of Fall 2023 (after grades are due).
-
Simply re-enroll in the course to re-enable for the Zoom license, if needed.
