Reset Your ISU Microsoft 365 Password

 Warning: This Feature will go live for all Students, Faculty, & Staff on June 5th, 2026. If you sign up through Free Microsoft 365 Online before June 5th, please use your ISU username@isu.edu and expect your password to be synced on June 5th, 2026

Microsoft 365 resources will become unavailable to Alumni, Retirees, and those without current affiliation on June 5th, 2026. Sign up for a Free Microsoft 365 Online using a personal email address.

This article provides instructions on how to Reset Your Microsoft Office 365 Password  at Idaho State University (ISU).

Note: This password is synced with your Idaho State University login password. Please visit iam.isu.edu to reset.

 

Please note that it can take up to 30 minutes to sync this password to Microsoft 365

Guide Navigation

Reset your ISU Microsoft 365 Account's Password

  1. Go to Iam.isu.edu (external link)
  2. Select Forgot my password 

Note: If you already know the password for this site. This is your Microsoft password. If it doesn't work, please try resetting and waiting 30 minutes before trying again.

  1. Verify using Phone number or Email as a recovery method
  2. Verify using Duo 
  3. Confirm the New password
  4. Select Finish

Note: Your password has now been reset. You will receive an email notifying you that your password has been reset.

Please allow up to 30 minutes for the password to sync with Microsoft

Sign into Microsoft Office 365

  2. Enter your ISU email address.
  3. Select Next.
  4. Enter your Password.
  5. Select Sign In.
  6. Approve Duo Push

Note: If this is your first time logging into Microsoft 365 then you will need to configure Duo. Just follow the prompts it gives you.
