Setting up/Changing your Account Claim Email and Phone Number

Setting up a non-ISU Account Claim email address and phone number is an important part of keeping your ISU identity secure, and this article explains how to do that.

Instructions

Suppose you are unable to access your account due to a forgotten password and incorrect answers to security questions. In that case, an ISU Service Desk technician may use the Account Claim email or cell phone number for verification.
  1. Login using your ISU username and password
  2. Approve login through the DUO mobile app or hardware token
  3. Click on My Profile (top tabs)
  4. Select Profile tab
  5. On the Personal Information screen, find the Account Claim Email box on the far right. 
  6. Enter a non-ISU email that can be used to verify your account.
  7. In the Mobile Phone box, far right, enter a cell phone number that can be used to verify your account. 
  8. Once you have entered the changes, click SUBMIT at the bottom. 
We also recommend regularly reviewing and updating your Security Questions and changing your password as additional measures to help keep your identity secure.
