Faculty Initiated Drop for Student Non-Attendance

Issue / Question
Students are expected to attend all meetings of classes in which they are registered. Students who do not attend any sessions of a class during the first week and have not made prior arrangements with the instructor may be dropped from the class by the instructor to make room for students who are interested in adding the class.

Resolution
It is the responsibility of the students to drop courses they do not attend, but instructors may also drop students for non-attendance. In case a student fails to attend or participate in any activity during the first week of classes, and has not made prior arrangements with the instructor.
  • Go to the Faculty Initiated Drop Form located on the Registrar's website to remove a student from class.
    • Note: Forms must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar no later than Friday, the 5th day of class.
