Resolution

Basic troubleshooting steps are used for users experiencing issues on iOS devices (iPhones) connecting to ISU's wireless networks.

Wireless Troubleshooting
  1. Go to MyISU to ensure the credentials are correct
  2. Disable Wireless if the phone indicates it cannot connect to the network
    • Go to Settings
    • Click Wi-Fi
    • Check the Wi-Fi button from On to Off
    • Wait 15 minutes to ensure the account is unlocked
    • Open Settings
    • Click Wi-Fi
    • Check the Wi-Fi button from Off to On
  3. Restart The iPhone and attempt to reconnect.
  4. Forget The network that is being attempted to connect to
    • Go to Settings
    • Click Wi-Fi
    • Select The network you wish to connect to
    • Click Forget This Network
    • Attempt to reconnect
  5. Forget All ISU networks (eduroamâ„¢, TigerGuest, and TigerNet) and attempt to reconnect to the desired network.
  6. Reset The network profile on the device.
    • Note: Doing this will lose ALL network profiles; reconnecting to home, work, and ISU Networks and reconfiguring any VPNs, etc., will be necessary.
    • Click Settings
    • Click General
    • Click Transfer or Reset iPhone
    • Click Reset
    • Click Reset Network Settings
    • Type Passcode if prompted
    • Click Reset Network Settings
