Argos Client Quick Guide

Issue / Question
Argos Client is a software tool that provides users access to reports created from the Banner database. The information is extracted from the Banner database every night. 
  • Note: Access all reports, including Finance Cube reports, and develop data blocks and reports.

Resolution
Argos Client is a software application designed for Windows-based computers to access all reports, including Finance Cube reports, and to develop data blocks and reports. You will need GlobalProtect VPN to access on-campus services like network file shares and Banner if you are not currently on campus. You must use Argos Web Viewer on a Mac or mobile device.

Finance Reports Available

Access Argos
  1. Sign in to MyISU with your ISU Username and Password
  2. Go to the Main Menu (left side) and Click Discover
  3. Type Argos into the search bar
  4. Click Argos Client from the Argos Reports card
  5. Click Use Single Sign-On
  6. Click Argos
    • Note: If the application is not launching, you may need to download and install Evisions Launcher
Argos Basics
Navigation
  • The Top Menu enables you to perform simple tasks, such as logging into a product, searching for items in the explorer, and customizing your toolbars.
  • The Middle Menu is separated into two sections:
    • The Left Half displays navigation links
    • The Right Half contains the action area
Note: The Explorer tab is the default option in the left half of the navigation area.

Navigating Reports 
  1. Click a  Folder to select a report (left side)
    • Optional: Click a  subfolder if multiple reports exist (left side)
  2. Click a Datablock (right side)
  3. Click Run Dashboard from the Report Viewer Actions pop-up
  4. Type the Report Information as requested
  5. Select the drop-down from Report Options (top header)
  6. Click the Report Type (CSV is standard and most used)
  7. Select Save Report or Email Report

Set Up a Shortcut
  1. Click a  Folder to select a report (left side)
  2. Click Shortcut from Report Viewer Actions (right side)
  3. Choose Report Viewing Method
  4. Click OK
View Report Shortcuts
  1. Click the Shortcuts tab (left side) by Explorer to view report shortcuts
