DegreeWorks in MyISU for Students

Description

DegreeWorks is ISU's degree audit resource. It helps you and your advisor create a semester-by-semester plan and track your progress toward earning your degree. It is also a valuable tool to assist you if you are considering a major change or adding a new degree. It's important to remember that DegreeWorks is a tool and should not replace consultations with academic advisors. It is highly recommended that you meet with your advisors and review the information provided by DegreeWorks.

Note: DegreeWorks only includes information if you are a currently enrolled student and should not be considered an official academic transcript.

Instructions

Log in to MyISU with your ISU Username & Password
Click the Sign in button (orange)
Click the Main Menu Button (top left)
Select Discover and type in Degreeworks
Select the DEGREEWORKS Card to see your DegreeWorks Audit Worksheet
- Click the Print button (top right) to print your degree audit or save it as a PDF.
- Click the Envelope button (top right) for your email and a list of your advisors with their email.
- Click on the three vertical dots (top right) to find your GPA Calculator, Class History, and Notes.
  - Note: Any notes your advisor has written for you will be displayed at the bottom of your DegreeWorks Worksheet.

Note: If you have changed your records, your student information will automatically be refreshed from Banner overnight. If you need your changes reflected in Degree Works on the same day, please get in touch with your advisor.

Academic Tab

Provides a clear overview of your academic progress toward graduation, highlighting completed courses, remaining requirements, and their relevance to your degree program.

Header: The section provides basic information, including your Student ID (Banner ID), Name, Degree, Class Level, Major, College, Academic Standing, Advisors, and Projected Graduation Date.
- Note: In the Degree field, you can select the drop-down arrow to view all your study programs.
General Education Objectives: This section lists each objective for undergraduates. Clicking on a course provides more details. If an objective isn't met, a list of courses satisfying it will appear.
ISU Upper Division Requirement: This section lists your completed upper division requirements and those still pending.
Major (undergraduates and graduates): This section lists an outline of the approved curriculum for your major based on the catalog year listed in your student record.
Elective Courses: This section shows the credits you've earned that don't fit into other categories but contribute to the 120-credit minimum for undergraduate degrees.
- Note: Insufficient courses, such as withdrawn, repeated, failed, or transfer courses still in progress, will be listed separately.
In-progress: This section notes any coursework you are registered for in an upcoming term.
Courses Not Counted Toward Degree (optional): This section appears if a course is remedial or you've reached the credit limit for a specific course.
- Note: Courses in this section do not count toward your graduation minimums.

Transfer courses will be displayed on the audit worksheet with the course number where they came from and a grade like TA, TB, TC, etc.

Note: If you see a TIP grade, ISU is missing the final transcript for that course; therefore, it does not meet any requirements. Please get in touch with your previous school and ask them to send the official transcript to the Registrar's Office.

What If Tab

Allows you to explore your degree requirements for a different study program and how your completed or registered courses would be considered for this change.

Click the What-if tab (under the header)
Select the catalog year, program, major, and applicable concentration from the dropdown menus to change your major.
- Note: Select the current catalog year if considering a major change.
Select your Future Classes section at the bottom, which allows you to enter courses you plan to take but have not yet registered for.
Select the Process What-If button.
- Note: This will remove the requirement blocks for your current major and apply the requirement block for the major you are considering or add the requirement block for the concentration. This is not a permanent change. Once you return to your Worksheet, the original requirement blocks will appear in your audit.
