Reviewing Turnitin Grades and Feedback in ISU Canvas for Students

Description

Turnitin assists an instructor with evaluating the originality of student work and ensuring that the references have been properly cited. The Similarity Report within Turnitin compares student work against a vast collection of student submissions, premium publications, and 20+ years of Internet content in order to determine if the student work is original. This article will walk you through the steps of viewing your grade and instructor feedback.

Instructions

  1. From within ISU Canvas, navigate to your assignment and select it.
  2. You will see the assignment details, start date, due date, and the feedback release date (when instructors will make their feedback available to you); the maximum number of points, the rubric (if one is used); the policy for late submissions, if resubmissions are allowed and a list of any file types that are not allowed.
  3. Scroll to the Your work section where you will see your document, when it was submitted, the grade earned, a link to the similarity report, instructor feedback, and the rubric (if used by the instructor for grading).
  4. To view the instructor feedback, click on the Feedback comment bubble. Turnitin will open in a new browser window where you will see feedback provided by the instructor, your grade, and the grading rubric (if one was used).
  5. Once you have reviewed the assignment, you can close the Turnitin browser tab.
