Updating Your Time Zone in Canvas for Students and Faculty

Description 

ISU Canvas is set to Mountain Standard Time (UTC - 7) by default. Because of this, due dates and times will be show in Mountain Standard Time and be different if your are located in a different time zone. You can change your time zone in Canvas to reflect your local time zone following the steps in this article.

Details

  1. In the far-left Global Navigation menu (the black sidebar,) select the Account button.
  2. In the pop-out menu, select the Settings link.
  3. On the next screen, select the Edit Settings button on the right-hand side of the screen.
  4. Select the Time Zone drop-down menu that is now available in the top section of the page. 
  5. Choose the appropriate time zone for your location.
  6. After selecting your local time zone, select the Update Settings button to save your settings.
