Service Description
This service allows approved ISU-related content to be promoted in the ITS computer labs as a 16:9 wallpaper image. The image will be loaded during the regularly scheduled maintenance and be deleted on the day after the event or on a date specified by you.
Standard Features
By default, the images supplied by you will be loaded onto the computers in the following locations:
- Pocatello ITS computer labs and kiosks.
- Idaho Falls ITS computer labs and kiosks.
- Meridian ITS computer labs.
Optional Features
Arrangements can be made to host specific content for each ISU location in order to target that specific demographic. For example, promoting an event that is only available in Meridian can be configured to only appear on the Meridian campus.
Roles and Responsibilities
Client Responsibilities
When requesting a promotional wallpaper, you must:
- Adhere to laws regarding copyright, trademarks, digital marketing, and Idaho State University policies.
- Follow ISU Branding (fonts, colors, etc.).
- Submit an image in JPG format.
- The submitted image must be 1920x1080 (16:9 aspect ratio) and be no larger than 1 MB (megabyte).
- Ensure all text is readable (not blurry/grainy/too small).
- Leave a margin at the bottom of the image to ensure no overlap with the Windows Taskbar.
Note: New wallpapers are loaded into the computer labs every Friday evening. Please submit promotional wallpapers at least ten days in advance to allow for testing and approval.
Image Recommendations:

A text-safe margin around the sides of the image to assure readability over various monitors. The margin on the left side of the image should be at least 20% of the image to allow for the application icons that reside there.

Concise text for ease of reading during the limited display time.
Service Provider Responsibilities
The Client Experience and Solutions - Productivity and Collaboration Solutions team will:
- Verify the image follows requirements (size, format, aspect ratio, readability) and will notify you of any problems or concerns.
- Upload the image after the approval process to a test environment to ensure smooth deployment to the computer labs.
- After testing the image, it will be loaded into the production environment during the next scheduled maintenance period.
- The image will automatically be removed the day after the event unless an alternative time is specified by you.
