Bookmarking Question Banks in ISU Canvas

This article provides instructions on how to to bookmark and use bookmarked question banks in ISU Canvas at Idaho State University (ISU).

The Question Bank Bookmark give instructors a way to keep track of frequently accessed Question Banks. When a Question Bank is bookmarked, it can be accessed in any course for which the instructor is enrolled as a teacher. Bookmarking a Question bank only affects where that Bank is accessed. Bookmarked banks can still be used and edited like other Question Banks. Note: Question Banks you create will be bookmarked by default.

When question banks are added to a course, instructors can bookmark them. Bookmarked question banks will become available to instructors to view in all of their courses by viewing the User Question Banks page. To Bookmark question banks:

1. From your ISU Canvas course, select the Quizzes option from the Course Navigation Menu.
2. Select the three-dot menu on the upper-right-hand side of the screen.
3. In the three-dot menu, select Manage Question Banks to view the Course Question Bank.
4. On the Course Question Bank, add a bookmark to a course by selecting the Bookmark icon.

Instructors can access their list of bookmarked question banks from any course. On the User Question Banks page, faculty can also remove the bookmark from any listed question bank. To view User Question Banks:

1. Select the Quizzes option from the Course Navigation Menu:
2. Select the three-dot menu on the upper-right-hand side of the screen.
3. In the three-dot menu, select Manage Question Banks to view the Course Question Bank.
4. On the Course Question Bank, select the View Bookmarked Banks button. 
5. To remove a question bank from this list, select the Bookmark icon.

Note: The User Question Banks page will be updated if you leave or refresh it. You will need to go back into your course to bookmark your question bank again.
