iPhone / iPad
Resync / Update Password For Your Google Account
To update your email password on an iPhone, you can do the following:
- Tap Settings
- Tap Passwords and Accounts
- Tap Your E-Mail account name
- Tap Account
- Tap Password.
Resync your ISU Mail password
These steps are after you have reset your password on your iPad by going to iam.isu.edu Once you have a new password continue with these steps
- Open mail app
- Swipe down on inbox till the spinning circle appears
- Verify that you see Account Error on the bottom for iPhone and top of the screen for iPad
- Navigate out of the settings app
- Find the settings app and open
- Go to the Mail option in settings
- Newer versions of IOS will have the Mail app stored in the Apps menu at the bottom of settings, You can also search Mail in the search bar at the stop of the settings menu
- Click on Mail Accounts
- Click on Gmail
- Click re-enter password found at the top ( if you do not see this option, repeat steps 1 - 3 )
- A windows for Accounts.google.com will appear
- Click Next
- Enter your new ISU password
- Click Next
- Confirm it’s really you ( you will be asked to type in a verification code that will be texted or emailed to you )
- Click Next
- Scroll down for the Sign in to iOS windows
- Click Continue
- Click Select all on the iOS wants access to your Google Account window
- Scroll down and click Continue
- Once you see Delete Account DO NOT CLICK you have already updated your password
- Exit settings
- Open the mail app
- Swipe down on your inbox.
Galaxy Devices / Android OS
Adding Your Google Account on the Android Gmail Application
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app
.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add.
- For Gmail, tap Google.
- To use iCloud Mail, @me.com, or @mac.com accounts, tap iCloud.
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't find your email provider, select Other.
- To add your account, follow the steps on the screen.
Adding Your Google Account As A Device Account

Open your device's Settings app.

Tap Passwords & accounts. If you can't find "Accounts," tap Users & accounts.

Under "Accounts," tap Add account.

Tap the type of account you want to add.

To add your Google Account, tap Google. When you sign in with a Google Account, the email, contacts, calendar events, and other data associated with that account automatically sync with your device.

To add your Google Meet account, tap Meet. When you sign in with your Meet account, you can make and receive video calls, create meetings, and call devices linked to your Home.

To add a different personal account, tap
Exchange,
Personal (IMAP), or
Personal (POP3). You'd generally choose these if you use an email program like Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

If you're adding accounts, you may need to enter your device's pattern, PIN, or password for security.
Resync Your Google Account

Open your device's Settings app.

Tap Passwords & accounts.

Under Accounts tap the account you want to remove

Tap Remove account.

To confirm, tap Remove account again.

If this is the only Google Account on the device, you'll need to enter your device's pattern, PIN, or password for security.

Go back to the main page of your device's Settings app.

Tap Passwords & accounts. If you can't find "Accounts," tap Users & accounts.

Under "Accounts," tap Add account.

Tap the type of account you want to add.
