How do I find the operating system on my Android phone?
How do I find the operating system on my iOS phone?
Resolution
Please choose your device type for details on how to find your operating system.
(Check the
box
next to
View Details
(far right) to expand/collapse a section)
Android
View Details
Follow the instructions to view your current operating system, and check to see if there is an update available and ready to install. If an update is available, you will see it listed.
Go to the
Home Screen
of your device
Click
Settings
Click
System
(halfway down the page)
Click
System Update
(near the bottom of the screen)
Note:
System Update will tell you what version of Android you have, when it was updated, and if there are any new updates available.
iOS Devices
View Details
Follow the instructions to view your current operating system, and check if an update is available and ready to install. If an update is available, you will see it listed.
Click the
Settings app.
Click
General
(halfway down the page)
Click
Software Update
(top of the page)
Note:
You must be connected to WiFi and have at least a 50% charge to perform any updates.
