Description

This article provides instructions on how to download the GET Mobile app on your device and use it as your virtual Bengal ID at Idaho State University (ISU).

Download and Set Up the GET Mobile App

 
  1. Download the GET Mobile app to your device:
  2. Open the app and select Search All Institutions.
  3. In the search field, type Idaho State University, then select it from the results.
  4. Enter your ISU username and password, then select Submit.

Notes:

  • You will receive a push notification from Duo. Approve the request using the Duo Mobile app.
  • You may be prompted to set up a PIN or Face ID.
    • This is recommended for faster and more secure access.

Features Available in the GET Mobile App

GET Mobile is ISU’s Bengal ID mobile app. You can use it in place of your physical ID in many situations, including:

  • Entering campus events such as games or movies.
  • Participating in student activities like bingo night.
  • Accessing Reed Gym facilities.
  • Attending ticketed events such as plays, concerts, or athletic events.
  • Entering authorized campus buildings.
    • Note: The app cannot be used to access housing doors.
  • Purchasing food using your meal plan, Flex, or Bengal ID funds.
Note: You can also use the app to:
  • View your Bengal ID number.
  • Report a physical ID as lost or found.

Dining with GET Mobile

You can use GET Mobile to pay for food using your meal plan or Flex at most on-campus dining locations.

Pay for Food

  1. Open the GET Mobile app.
  2. Select Scan Card (located under your name and photo).
  3. Have your barcode scanned at the register.
Notes:
  • A barcode scanner is available at most campus dining locations that accept meal plans or Flex.
  • If a scanner is not available, you may be asked to enter your Bengal ID manually (your ID number will be shown in the app).

Track Your Balance

  1. Open the GET Mobile app.
  2. Go to the Accounts section.
  3. View your remaining meal plan and Flex balances.
  4. Open the Transactions section to see recent activity.

Unlock Doors with GET Mobile

You can use GET Mobile to unlock doors you are authorized to access.
  • Important Note: GET Mobile does not work for on-campus housing doors.

Steps

  1. Go to the door you want to unlock.
    • You must be within a few feet of the door.
  2. Open the GET Mobile app.
  3. Select Mobile Access (located under your name and photo).
  4. Select the door from the list of available doors.
  5. Select the Activate button.

What to Expect

  • A “Success!” message will appear on your screen.
  • You should hear the door latch release.

Report your Bengal Card Lost or Found

You can use the GET Mobile app to report your Bengal Card as lost or found.

 

Report Your Bengal Card as Lost

  1. Open the GET Mobile app.
  2. Select More.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Report Card as Lost.
  5. Select Report Card as Lost to confirm.
Note:
  • This will block the use of your physical ISU ID.
  • You can still use the GET Mobile app.

 

Report Your Bengal Card as Found

  1. Open the GET Mobile app.
  2. Select More.
  3. Select Report Card as Found.

Note: This will reactivate your physical ISU ID.

GET App Customization

You can rearrange the GET Mobile app home page icons.
  1. Open the GET app.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Edit Home Page.
  3. Hold the bars to drag and drop the listed cards and reorder your Home Page.  
  4. Select the X to close the Edit Home Page screen.
