- Header: This section provides essential information for locating an advisee. You can select the dropdown menu (right side) or enter their Student ID. Optionally, you can select Advanced Search beneath the Student ID field to utilize additional criteria, including the student's name.
- Note: The Student ID is different from their ISU or Bengal ID. If you cannot locate the student you anticipated seeing, please contact Academic Advising to confirm your assignment as an advisor.
- Section 1: This section includes the student's Banner ID, Name, and the Degree they are pursuing. It also contains additional details such as the student Level, Classification (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior), Major, College, Bengal Id, Academic Standing, Primary Advisor, Other Advisors, Projected Graduation Date, and Graduation Application Status if the student has applied for graduation.
- Note: If a student is pursuing multiple degrees, a drop-down arrow will be located next to the Degree box. (right side)
The remaining sections in DegreeWorks vary based on whether the student is seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Undergraduate students see the University General Education Objectives block, which summarizes the General Education Objectives and the University Upper Division block, along with any other university requirements.
- General Education Objectives: This section lists each objective for undergraduates. Clicking on a course provides more details. If an objective isn't met, a list of courses satisfying it will appear. Click the list to open the Course Information box to view details about a course.
- ISU Upper Division Requirement: This section lists the completed upper division requirements and those still pending.
- Major (undergraduates and graduates): This section lists an outline of the approved curriculum for undergraduates and graduates based on the catalog year listed.
- Elective Courses: This section shows the credits earned that don't fit into other categories but contribute to the 120-credit minimum for undergraduate degrees.
- Note: Insufficient courses, such as withdrawn, repeated, failed, or transfer courses still in progress, will be listed separately.
- In-progress: This section notes any coursework a student is registered for in an upcoming term.
- Courses Not Counted Toward Degree (optional): This section appears if a course is remedial or if the student has reached the credit limit for a specific course.
- Note: Courses in this section do not count toward the graduation minimum.
Transfer courses will be displayed on the audit worksheet with the course number where they came from and a grade like TA, TB, TC, etc. Transfer grades do not impact the ISU GPA
-
Note: If you see a TIP grade, ISU is missing the final transcript for that course; therefore, it does not meet any requirements. The student will need to contact their former institution to arrange for the official transcript to be sent to the Registrar's Office.
