Duo no longer supports older versions of the app (below 4.85) and will eventually block them from accessing ISU systems. To prevent login issues, update your Duo Mobile app to version 4.85 or above.
- Note: If you’re already using version 4.105.0, the current version, no action is needed.

Step 1: Check Your Duo Mobile App Version
iPhone (iOS)

Open the Duo Mobile app.

Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper-left corner.

Scroll to the bottom of the menu.

Look for the Version number, which should display 4.85.0 or higher

Step 2: Update the App (If Needed)
Updating the app only takes a minute.

What if I run into issues trying to update the Duo Mobile App?

Open your phone’s Settings and look for System Updates.

If an update is available, download and install it.

After updating, try updating the Duo Mobile app again.
What should I do if I’m unable to update the operating system on my phone?
- You might need to update your device.
- If you’re unable to update your device, you can request a Duo token by clicking the Duo Token Request button.
What Happens If I Don’t Update?
If your Duo Mobile app is not updated to version 4.85 or above, it may stop working, and you could be blocked from accessing ISU systems that require multi-factor authentication (MFA).
