Viewing Course Evaluation Results for Faculty

Description

This article describes the process for faculty to view the results of course evaluations in the Watermark Course Evaluation system.

Details

  1. To access Watermark, log into Canvas and access one of your courses for a semester that has ended. Note: You will not be able to access from within a metacourse as only single course sections were mapped to the system.
  2. In the Canvas left-hand navigation menu, select Instructor Course Evaluations. No user name/password is required. Note: This link will not be available in courses that are in progress.
    1. You may also access Watermark via the link in an email automatically sent by the Watermark system (sender: courseevals@isu.edu) when course evaluations became available for viewing.
  3. Once you have accessed the Watermark dashboard, in the middle of the page you will see a list of the evaluation projects (semesters) that have ended. To view individual course evaluation results, click on the link for the project/semester you wish to view.
  4. To view the report/results for a course, click the download button and select a report type
The system only maps to individual course sections but if you would like to combine the results of multiple sections of a course you can create a batch report.
  1. In the Project Results section of the dashboard, click on the link to the project you wish to view.
  2. Select the boxes next to the courses you wish to combine.
  3. At the top of the window, click on Batch Report.
  4. In the window that opens, type a name in the Report Name box, select Aggregate Data for Selected Items into One Report, and click GO.
  5. The report will download as a PDF to your computer.

Note: The batch report does not aggregate the combined median for the sections. If you would like that type of information, you can download the raw data for each section, combine the two Excel files, and set up the calculation formulas.
