This article details how to find the MAC address of a device in multiple operating systems.

Details

Windows 11/10 (System Settings)

Click the Start button
Click Settings
Click Network & Internet in the window that opens

Windows 11

Click Wi-Fi or Ethernet
Click Hardware properties
Find the Physical address of the wireless or local area card

Windows 10

Find View hardware and connection properties
Find the Physical address of the wireless or local area card

Windows 11/10/8 (CMD)

Click the Start button
Type cmd
Press Enter
Type getmac /v in the command window
Press Enter
Find the physical address of the wireless or local area card

Mac OS X

Note: Instructions may vary for different versions of OS X.

Click the Apple Icon in the menu bar
Select System Preferences
Select Network
Highlight Airport or WiFi from the list on the left
Click the Advanced... button
View the Wi-Fi MAC Address at the bottom of the window

Apple iOS

Open the Settings
Tap General
Tap About
Scroll to the Wi-Fi Address
- Note: This will be the Wi-Fi MAC address.

Android OS

Open the Settings
Tap General
Tap About
Tap Hardware info or Status
Scroll to the Wi-Fi Address
- Note: This will be the Wi-Fi MAC address.

PlayStation

PS5

Start up your PlayStation 5 without a disk in the drive.
On the home screen, click on the settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner.
Select System.
Under System Software.
Select Console Information.
You will see the MAC addresses for LAN cable (Ethernet) and Wi-Fi.
- Note: Wi-Fi/Wireless connections will require DeviceNet to connect to the Internet.
  - Should you require instructions on how to connect to DeviceNet please follow the link here.
  - Ethernet/Wired Internet connections do not require DeviceNet to get connected.

PS4

Arrow up and over to Settings in the PS4 menu.
Scroll down to Network.
Scroll down to View Connection Status.
The MAC Address will be listed next to MAC Address.

Note: Wi-Fi/Wireless connections will require DeviceNet to connect to the Internet.

- Ethernet/Wired Internet connections do not require DeviceNet to get connected.

Nintendo Devices

Switch

Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.
Scroll down through the menu and select Internet.
The Nintendo Switch console's MAC address will be listed under System MAC Address
- Note: Wi-Fi/Wireless connections will require DeviceNet to connect to the Internet.
  - Should you require instructions on how to connect to DeviceNet please follow the link here.
  - Ethernet/Wired Internet connections do not require DeviceNet to get connected.

3DS

From the HOME menu, highlight and select the System Settings Icon
Select Internet Settings.
Tap Other Information
Tap Confirm MAC Address. Your system's MAC Address will be displayed on the screen
- Note: Wi-Fi/Wireless connections will require DeviceNet to connect to the Internet.
  - Should you require instructions on how to connect to DeviceNet please follow the link here.
  - Ethernet/Wired Internet connections do not require DeviceNet to get connected.

Wii U

From the Wii U Menu, select System Settings.
Using the Left Stick select the Internet icon and press the A Button
Select View MAC Address and wait a moment for the MAC address to be displayed.
When you are finished, tap Back
- Note: Wi-Fi/Wireless connections will require DeviceNet to connect to the Internet.

  - Ethernet/Wired Internet connections do not require DeviceNet to get connected.

Xbox

Xbox One

Go to My Xbox in the Xbox Dashboard and select Settings.
In the Settings pane, select Network
Select Advanced Settings from the Network Settings tab.
At the bottom of this screen, you'll see a heading for Wireless MAC.

Note: Wi-Fi/Wireless connections will require DeviceNet to connect to the Internet.

Xbox Series X/S

On the Xbox controller, press the Xbox button.
From the Profile & System menu, select Settings.
From the General section, select Network Settings.
Select Advanced Settings.
On the IP Settings menu, the wireless MAC address will be listed by Wireless MAC.
- Note: Wi-Fi/Wireless connections will require DeviceNet to connect to the Internet.

  - Ethernet/Wired Internet connections do not require DeviceNet to get connected.

Televisions

Apple TV

Go to the main menu on your Apple TV device, and select Settings
Select About from the menu for the Network Information.
Wireless MAC Address will be listed under Wireless ID

Fire TV Stick

Go to Settings (gear icon)
Select My Fire TV or This Device
Select About
Locate the Wireless MAC Address under MAC Address (Wi-Fi)
- Note: Wi-Fi/Wireless connections will require DeviceNet to connect to the Internet.

Roku TV

Press the Home button on your remote.
Scroll down and select Settings
Scroll down and click Network
Select About
Locate the Wireless MAC address

Note: Roku players (Express, Premiere, Stick+, Ultra, etc.) may also have their WiFi MAC address printed on the physical device as well.
